Concrete Bag Yield & Coverage Chart

Bag weight alone does not tell you finished volume. This table uses the published finished yields for QUIKRETE Concrete Mix #1101. Check your own product: another brand or mix may give a different yield.

Why the product name matters

The referenced Sakrete High-Strength data sheet lists 0.66 ft³ for a 90 lb bag, while the QUIKRETE #1101 reference lists 0.675 ft³. At one cubic yard before allowance, that difference means 41 versus 40 bags. Always use the finished yield stated for the mix you buy.

A 10% allowance on one cubic yard requires 29.7 ft³. At 0.60 ft³ per bag, that is 49.5 bags, rounded up to 50. Do not calculate bag counts by dividing an assumed wet density by dry bag weight.

Use the bag calculator for your required volume, the coverage calculator for area, or the pallet calculator to check full-pallet purchases.
